FIT to GPX Converter
Convert your FIT files to GPX before importing them into Vectora.
To convert FIT files into GPX, the most reliable workflow is to use a dedicated conversion tool that preserves timestamps, GPS accuracy, and sensor metadata. The core goal is to produce a clean GPX track suitable for Vectora overlays.
For quick conversions, use an in-app conversion tool if your workflow supports it. Otherwise, a command-line utility such as `gpsbabel` provides predictable, scriptable output: `gpsbabel -i garmin_fit -f activity.fit -o gpx -F activity.gpx`
Online converters can be convenient, but ensure they properly handle multi-sport sessions and do not strip cadence, heart rate, or power fields if you rely on them.
Some devices embed manufacturer extensions that do not translate perfectly into GPX. Garmin and Wahoo files usually convert cleanly, while certain indoor trainers or niche devices may require running the FIT file through a repair utility before exporting.
After exporting your GPX, inspect the first and last timestamps, zero-movement periods, and elevation integrity. Cleaning these before import results in more accurate overlays within Vectora.
