Pace

Display pace for running and other distance-based sports.

Pace per kilometer overlay

Pace is derived from the relationship between elapsed time and distance. When the source file contains distance samples, pace is calculated directly from those values; otherwise, it is computed from GPS-derived positions. Supported units include minutes per kilometer and minutes per mile, selectable during configuration.

The widget can display instantaneous pace, lap pace, or overall average pace. Current pace reflects short-term movement and may fluctuate on trails or in areas with poor GPS reception. Lap pace stabilizes the reading over predefined intervals, while average pace provides a session-level benchmark.

Common templates position the pace widget near the bottom of the frame for running videos, where it remains readable without obstructing the action. Some layouts pair it with cadence or heart-rate overlays to provide a more complete context for pacing decisions. Screenshots or example templates can be added here to illustrate typical placements.
